Alan Gorman has been a professor in the Department at Queen's since 1955. He teaches Terrain Evaluation (GEOL 333) in the winter term, and edits the departmental newsletter, which sends news about the department and its graduates to as many ex-students as can be located. Unfortunately, very few graduates supply him with news, so the newsletter appears less frequently than it should.
His main areas of interest are in Air Photo Interpretation and Quaternary Geochronology. As a retiree, he no longer takes on graduate students, but is a resource person for anyone he can help.
