Professor Farrar's research interests include:
  • Geochronology: K-Ar and 40Ar/39Ar dating applied to field problems, including the development of the Central Andes and the Canadian Cordillera.
  • Plate tectonics: Studies related to the evolution of the Pacific plate and its interaction with neighbouring plates.
